Pengwern College is looking for an experienced Receptionist to join our fantastic team

As the face of the College you will be the first point of call for all visitors, so customer service is key as well as assisting with general duties to ensure the smooth running of the College.

About Us:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Cambian Pengwern College at a really exciting time and to play an integral part in the team approach to supporting the positive change and reinvigoration of the College. The senior leadership team has a clear vision for the growth of the service and is in the process of overseeing a number of ongoing developments. The College has a proud and successful tradition of supporting young people between the ages of 16 – 25 to build valuable life skills and gain qualifications and confidence that will support them on their journey towards future independence.

The Role:

Below are the key duties we expect the job holder to carry out:


Take calls for the college and ascertain nature of call and transfer to the appropriate person.  Provide message-handling service, keep a call log, ensuring accurate details are recorded and passed on accordingly.
Greeting all Visitors , ensuring the sign in/out log is utilised
Take responsibility for our vehicle booking system ensuring vehicles are booked for Tutors and keys are signed in and out accordingly.
Assume responsibility for the ordering and stock replenishment of site stationary. Keep an accurate log of all purchases.
Provide additional general administrative support including; the general typing of documents, assistance with photocopying, franking, binding, sorting and distributing mail, ensuring the publicity material at reception is kept up to date, etc.
