Job Overview

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Radiology department at Royal Bolton Hospital. The department is looking for a forward thinking and enthusiastic Imaging Navigator to join our friendly imaging team.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced member of staff to be part of this specialist team, working across radiology's administrative and clerical department. The post holder will work closely with clinical teams implementing and improving patient pathways.

Main duties of the job

Main Duties

The primary responsibility of the post will be to monitor and facilitate radiology's compliance to patient pathways, either established or newly individual will implement an escalation criteria and run daily statistics to help audit both compliance and performance activity. The post holder will act to mitigate risk of potential patient breaches by helping to arrange imaging appointments and ensuring formal and validated reports are available within the designated timeframes. The post holder will routinely liaise with imaging modality leads, To keep appraised of the operational position of each imaging specialty, accounting for planned downtime and planning service provision for all patient pathways. The successful candidate will also be the radiology's departments representative at weekly cancer PTL meetings.
