We are working closely with a Secondary School situated in a suburb of Milton Keynes who are recruiting for a Dance Teacher for a fixed term contract from September - December 2024
- Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire
- Start date: September 2024
- Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term contract until at least December 2024
- Pay: £143-200 (Main Pay Scale for Qualified Teachers), paid as a daily rate through us then salary directly offered with school
The role would involve teaching Dance to KS4 and KS5, delivering the Dance GCSE and A Level syllabus. This would be a temporary position only, but could lead to future permanent opportunities.
If you are a Qualified Teacher or Instructor specialising in Dance, with at least 1 year experience at least teaching to Key Stage 4, we would love to hear from you.
Key points for success
- An experienced Instructor or Qualified Dance Teacher, and able to deliver to at least KS4
- Special considerations to a Dance Graduate with future ambitions to be a Teacher
- Great knowledge of Dance and the syllabus
- Previous experience supporting or teaching in a Secondary School
- Present a 'can do' and positive attitude to inspire pupils
- Able to motivate and inspire, whilst using your own initiative
- Willingness to learn and support others
- Patient and friendly attitude
Responsibilities will include:
- Plan Dance to suit the individual needs of the students and group
- Plan and teach dance sessions to KS4
- Design dance pieces for individuals and group productions
- Keep records of students' performance and progress
- Assess students for dance GCSE exams
- Maintain your own dance skills and techniques
