The role ofthe Assistant FinanceAnalyst

Reporting to the FinanceManager (OnField) the main purpose of the Assistant Finance Analystrole is to business partner effectively with various OnFielddepartments helping financial performance to be clearly understoodby key stakeholders.

Our OnField business has alarge cost base and the Assistant Finance Analyst will accuratelyrecord and support the management of these costs whilst addingvalue by providing useful insights. OnField also has numerousincome streams and the Assistant Finance Analyst will ensure thatthese are accurately accountedfor.

MainAccountabilities

  • Ensuredelivery of accurate timely and informative monthly managementaccounts for the relevant OnField departments covering P&Lreporting and balance sheetreconciliation.
  • Draw meaningful and insightfulconclusions from historical financial data and providerecommendations to budget owners on ways to improve financialperformance.
  • Aid in the production of annualbudgets and periodic reforecasts for relevantareas.
  • Support the audit process by providingrelevant financial information anddocumentation.
  • Adhoc support in management ofkey OnField stakeholder relationships.
  • Adhocsupport to relevant nonfinancial teams to assist them inunderstanding finance matters resolving issues and making informeddecisions.
  • Adhoc duties and responsibilities asrequired to support the finance team.
  • To ensurecompliance with the Clubs Safeguarding Policy and processes.
  • To ensure compliance with the Clubs Code ofConduct.

  • Toensure compliance with all relevant Club policies includingsafeguarding health and safety policies and with specific referenceto the data regulations (GDPR and PECR)
  • Toensure compliance with all relevant legal regulatory ethical andsocial requirements
  • To build and maintain goodworking relationships both internally and externally maintaining aprofessional image at all times when representing BrentfordFC
  • To keep confidential any information gainedregarding the Club and its personnel
  • Tomaintain a flexible approach to work at alltimes
  • To ensure compliance with all MatchdaySafeguarding processes and the Clubs Safeguarding Policy andprocesses

PersonSpecification Essential PersonalCharacteristics

  • Partqualifiedaccountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) at latter stages ofqualification.
  • Previous management accountingexperience.
  • Strong commercial and businessawareness.
  • Ability to manipulate complex dataand present it clearly and accurately to finance &nonfinance colleagues.
  • Excellent communicationskills with the ability to communicate at all levels clearly andsuccessfully both verbally and inwriting.
  • Ability to quickly build strong andeffective working relationships with colleagues across the businesswith the confidence and credibility to challenge appropriately andto influence decisions.
  • Strong IT skills acrossthe MS Office suite including intermediate/advanced Excel skillsand previous exposure to commonly recognised accountingsystems.
