We’re seeking a Lead Engineer – Infotainment Systems to join our rapidly growing team. Reporting to our Chief Engineer, you will be the technical lead for Infotainment Systems activities. You will play an important role in the design, whilst taking overall technical delivery through the development, and implementation of all aspects of Infotainment component development and technical delivery for our groundbreaking automotive projects

This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity from our offices near Leamington Spa. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

What you’ll do

  • Manage and lead a team of project engineers to deliver the infotainment solution according to project requirements and timing.
  • Development and maintenance of requirements specifications, and timing plans throughout the project lifecycle. 

·        Lead system review, verification & validation activities including FMEAs, test planning and functionality tests throughout the development lifecycle.

·        Maintain suppliers and support with other department including Procurement, Logistics and Quality throughout the project lifecycle.

·        Support various prototype and development builds including labcar / test rig build where required.

·        Work closely with other departments such as Design, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Programs, Logistics, Service and workshops.

·        Represent the Electrical Department in status meetings and engineering reviews. Also represent Forseven in external working groups and with suppliers.

 

Who you are

·        Experience in automotive electrical components’ design, development and manufacture.

·        Experience of electrical systems, software features/functions, electrical architectures and systems design/integration, specially within Infotainment area.

·        Working knowledge of automotive networks, standards and development processes.

·        Diligent and detail focused

·        Strong communicator and empathetic

·        Agile and energized working in a start-up environment
