iRock School of Music is revolutionising music education by teaching tens of thousands of primary school children how to play in bands every single week Our mission is to positively impact and shape children's futures through music education, and we're looking for an enthusiastic multi-instrumentalist to amplify our efforts. As part of our dynamic team, you'll have the unique opportunity to inspire young minds, foster their creativity, and contribute to their growth and development through music. If you're passionate about making a difference in children's lives and possess the versatility to teach various instruments, we'd love to hear from you

The Role

  • Deliver rock and pop band sessions to groups of children in up to 10 primary schools per week
  • Teach young people aged 4-11 how to play drums, keyboard, guitar or vocals 
  • Build strong relationships with parents and schools
  • Help pupils deliver their first live performances in front of an audience at our termly concerts
  • Daily admin tasks
  • Working to the RSL structure providing Rock School certificates to our students
  • Be part of a team running holiday camps for 2 weeks throughout the year during the school holidays 

Requirements

  • Be able to play at least 2 of the following instruments (Drums, Electric Guitar, Keyboard)
  • Confident singing in front of a class full of engaged children
  • Have a good all-round musical knowledge
  • Hold a valid driving licence and access to own car (essential)
  • Strong organisation and IT skills
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise own workload
  • Be a confident individual who is passionate about music
  • Be able to build positive relationships with adults and children
