An opportunity exists for enthusiastic Anaesthetists seeking an opportunity to join the Anaesthetic Department team. These posts do include an on-call commitment.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking to appoint Specialty Doctors in Anaesthetics to join our forward-thinking department. The successful appointees will join a proactive group of colleagues providing services primarily at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby.

The department provides general anaesthetic services for all the specialties within the Trust. These include General Surgery, Orthopaedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Maxillofacial Surgery, Urology and Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

The post would suit a good team player dedicated to high quality patient care. The opportunity exists to work in a non-hierarchical setting and offer a wide range of care in a busy district general hospital.

The appointee will be expected to deliver high quality care to the patients presenting to the department.

Person Specification

Eligibility

Essential

Full registration with the GMC at time of appointment. Evidence of achievement of ST1/CT1 competences in a relevant specialty at time of application and likelihood of achieving ST2/CT2 competences in a relevant specialty by the start date of the post. Eligibility to work in the UK. Evidence of 4 years (FTE) postgraduate training in the UK (or equivalent training) of which at least 2 year's training must be in relevant specialty or a recognised equivalent training.

Clinical Skills

Essential

Proven ability to work effectively in different clinical settings required in the job.

Desirable

Acute care safe: up-to-date ALS.
