London, United Kingdom Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Job summary

Due to additional funding, the Greenwich and Bexley Community Long-term conditions Teams are expanding their Psychology provision.

A significant proportion of the work will be with the Diabetes teams. This 8b Clinical/ Counselling Psychology post in Long-term conditions is a varied post and an exciting opportunity to work in a community-based setting in the boroughs of Greenwich and Bexley.

Goldie Leigh Hospital is the main base but work at various clinics around the borough is part of the role. There will also be opportunities to work with staff across the directorate in offering reflective practice groups.

The postholder(s) will be joining a dynamic and friendly network of psychologists in physical health in the Adult Community Physical Health Services Directorate. There are regular opportunities for CPD, networking and coming together with other psychologists working in physical health for collegiate support. There is a protected budget for CPD and this is also protected within job plans.

Clinical supervision is provided from within the directorate and there is also access to special interest supervision groups within the Trust including an ACT supervision group and specialist neuropsychology supervision.

The psychologists in Physical health meet on a regular basis so postholders will have exposure to other physical health specialities as well as gaining insight into psychological ways of working within other specialities.
