Electrician

Responsibilities:

• Completes regular and preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment according to established schedules and procedures

• Coordinate as necessary to handle emergency maintenance and repair issues in a timely and effective manner

• Effective communication with millwrights, maintenance workers, and supervisor for transfer of information/instruction during and between shifts or extended overtime

• Provide assistance to other Maintenance and Electrical team members when required

• Responds to after-hours emergency calls on a rotational basis

• Operates in accordance with health and safety practices

• Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to

• Available to work extended hours or be called in for emergency/critical workplace situations

• Teamwork ability

• Provide/collect information for improvements and make recommendations

• Regular and punctual attendance

• Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications:

Experience & Education/Training

• Journeyman Electrician or in 4th year of apprenticeship

• Three (2) to four (3) years electrical, maintenance, or welder experience in a processing environment is an asset

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proven analytical/problem solving skills
