The Royal Bolton Hospital is looking for a full time, enthusiastic and experienced X-Ray, Fluoroscopy and Interventional Radiographer to join our Imaging team as a senior member of the management team. You should have proven XR, FL and/or IR imaging and staff management skills with the ability to work flexibly as required.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to be a day-to-day manager of a team of enthusiastic band 5 and 6 radiographers, offering support and day to day leadership in the department.
If you have the necessary experience and would like the opportunity to expand your management skills this is the post for you. Successful applicants will form a core part of the CXR, FL & IR service team as well as dealing with managerial and logistical aspects associated with running an efficient and patient centred service across multiple modalities and sites.
Training will be given for more complex or department specific scans.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for providing managerial and clinical leadership within XR, FL & IR departments, coordinating, and managing a comprehensive service. The post holder will provide leadership and direct line management to all XR, FL & IR staff with support from the Principal Radiographer and Lead Clinician. The post holder will be responsible for General line management functions including recruitment, retention of staff within the service, staff appraisal, competency assessments and management of sickness absence and leave entitlement. The post holder is expected to have extensive XR, FL and/or IR experience, including evidence of teaching and/or training and running a busy department. The post holder will be expected to lead an established and dedicated team, and to support the development and training of rotating junior team members and students. Registration as a Radiographer with the HPCCP Evidence of Continuing Professional Development Extensive XR, Fl & IR experience BSc or DCR in Diagnostic Radiography
