The Role

The painter shall undertake works under the guidance of the Assistant Maintenance Manager where appropriate, on all aspects of building fabric repair, general maintenance for both planned and reactive maintenance. You will carry out a range of decoration, building fabric and general planned, reactive maintenance, repairs and minor new works tasks as instructed by the Estates Management. Use all relevant tools and equipment when carrying out specific tasks within their capability and training.

What we'll need you to bring

Recognised CITB/EITB Painter Craft Apprenticeship e.g City & Guilds. Demonstrable experience or significant experience in a similar role within a large complex service organisation. Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to accurately complete documentation and records. To attend specialised training courses as required PASMA (Access tower erection), IPAF(mobile powered platforms), level 2 PaMOVA (Violence and aggression breakaway techniques), asbestos awareness, resuscitation techniques etc. Experience within a people environment. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Self-motivated and ability to motivate others. Works well as an individual and as part of a team. Able to use own initiative in problem solving in day to day issues. Car driver, the ability to work shifts as required.
