This is a fantastic opportunity to join and lead The Countess Charity, utilising your skills and experience to further develop a strong and fruitful fundraising programme.
The Countess Charity is seeking an experienced Head of Fundraising to take forward the management and motivation of a small and dynamic team of fundraisers and volunteers. The postholder will lead in the writing and implementation of a 5 year fundraising strategy to ensure the long term sustainability of the charity.
Main duties of the job
Accountable to the Director of Finance, the primary function of this role is to maximise the generation of charitable funds donations, with a particular emphasis on successfully achieving major appeal targets.
The post holder is responsible for the management and motivation of a small and dynamic team of fundraisers and volunteers.
The post holder will develop and implement a PR and marketing plan for the charity and take overall responsibility for the organisation and project management of high profile, as well as smaller, fundraising events and activities.
The Head of Fundraising will also target the expansion of community led fundraising, will oversee applications to grant making trusts, and will lead on the development and implementation of a new legacy marketing campaign. This is a wonderful opportunity to hone your skills and experience in fundraising to continue to make an impact for the patients and staff at the Countess of Chester NHS Foundation Trust.
