Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Health Care Assistant to work in both our Dover & Shepherdswell branches. The practice is currently looking for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic HCA to join our friendly and professional clinical team. We are looking for someone who will share our commitment to providing excellent healthcare to our patients. Part-time and Full-time hours considered.

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate will have a range of skills including:

Phlebotomy

Injections including B12, adult seasonal flu vaccines using a PSD

Perform dressing changes

Blood pressure monitoring including 24hr ambulatory monitoring

ECG including 24hr ambulatory monitoring

NHS Health Checks and Well Person checks

Re-stocking and maintaining stocks

Ear irrigation

Removal of sutures and clips

Any other delegated duties considered to the post

About us

White Cliffs Medical Centre is based in a purpose built building just ashort distance from Dover town centre and consists of two partners, four nursesand a two HCAs.

We also have a branch surgery in Shepherdswell.

We are a busy practice with a hardworking, dedicated and supportive teamof reception/admin/dispensary staff, as well as our clinical team. We work closely with our Primary Care Network todeliver high standards of care to our patient population of around 9,600.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Health Care Assistant to join our friendly team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following key areas, amongst others:

NHS Health Checks and Well Person Checks

Phlebotomy

Ear Irrigation

Perform dressing changes

Removal of sutures and clips

BP monitoring including 24hr monitoring

ECG including 24hr monitoring

Injections including B12 and adult seasonal flu vaccines using a PSD

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

Healthcare qualification (level 3 or 4) or working towards gaining equivalent level

Desirable

Phlebotomy certification Ear syringing certification

Experience

Essential

Experience of working with the general public Experience of working in a healthcare setting

Experience of working in a primary care environment
