Workshop Controller – JLR Ashford

We are recruiting for a Workshop Controller to join our Jaguar Land Rover Workshop in Ashford. You will be required to control and co-ordinate our busy workshop, working with our Workshop Manager and Service Manager to deliver high levels of productivity and ensuring the department delivers work on time and to a high standard.

What a day-to-day will look like:

Allocate technicians work in priority order, with clear instruction

Develop diligent planning around resource and workload

Organise vehicle movement to and from workshop

Communicate progress and potential challenges with front of house

Time up visual health checks

Work as part of a team, to drive productivity and improved client experience

Provide accurate and efficient administration

Ensure high levels of workshop cleanliness and colleague safety

Encourage & guide technicians to deliver a great performance

About you:

Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to work well with others

Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines

A positive can-do attitude that will look for opportunities and optimisation

A Full UK Driving Licence

Strong technical understanding

Full time contract. 45 hrs per week.

Monday – Friday, 7.30am – 5.30pm. 1 in 4 Saturdays paid as overtime.
