About the role

A lovely school in Stapleford has partnered with Connex Education to recruit an experienced EYFS/Nursery Teaching  to work on a regular relief cover basis starting at the end of September.

You will need to have strong teamwork skills as the school in question has a key focus on teamwork and collaboration to be able to achieve student and school goals. This school has great relationships with supply staff members, and you will need to meet high standards and match the ambitious expectations alongside the staff and the governors. A key ethos and aim for this school are to ensure all learners are provided focused support to ensure excellent progress is made.  

Duties will include general classroom support for all pupils in Foundation, facilitating learning through play and small group interventions for pupils requiring additional help. The successful candidate must have the ability to work in close partnership with the Class Teacher in helping to promote the acquisition of learning goals.

Person Specification

  • Experience working in an educational environment with children aged between 4 and 11 years.
  • Be willing to support on a 1:1 basis or work in small groups with children
  • Have behaviour management skills
  • Knowledge of Phonics and Read, Write Inc
  • Be organised and reliable
  • Have a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to process a new one
  • Willing to go the extra mile
