Job summary

The Estates Department are looking to enhance their maintenance team and would like to add a Multi Skilled Plumber to their team of staff.

You will work as a member of the Estates team across multi-disciplined trades.

Main duties of the job

You will provide comprehensive plumbing services to all wards and departments in a multi-disciplined environment, ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures.

You will provide emergency response and undertake on-call duties as part of the on-call team to ensure that emergency repairs occurring out of normal hours are attended to. You must possess a level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent.

Qualifications

Essential

City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 Plumbing and Domestic Heating Recognised Apprenticeship

Desirable

Multi-skill qualification , NVQ level 1 or 2 in another trade or a multi-skill qualification

Knowledge, Training & Experience

Essential

Post qualification experience working as a plumber. Current full driving licence Use own initiative. Communication and interpersonal skills Have a good level of written and verbal English skills. Computer literate and keyboard skills including understanding the use of outlook, handheld devices Working in a team Capable of Working in a demanding service line Ability to work on own initiative without close supervision. Ability to work to deadlines

Desirable

Experience of working in an Acute Hospital/Healthcare environment. Knowledge of various Health & Safety Legislation as applicable to core trade Experience of working on a range of systems , Heating, Ventilation, Hot & Cold Water Systems.
