As an integral member of the Financial Sponsors business, you’ll be part of the wider Structured Finance Group which sits within Santander Corporate & Commercial Banking (CCB).The team’s focus is primarily debt-led, delivering bespoke funding solutions to Private Equity owned businesses across both new and existing CCB clients.
You’llbe responsible forbuilding relationships to help win new business for San UK. You’ll have a client-centric approach and will assist in completing all deal processes including structuring solutions, financial modelling and risk analysis.

The difference you’ll make:
Forming and maintaining relationships with management teams, sponsors, advisers and other Key business Interests to drive advocacy of San UK in the market and help win new business introductions
Structuring complex funding solutions, including detailed financial modelling, instructing/reviewing due diligence reports, modelling/negotiating financial covenants
Displaying technical, legal and credit/debt structuring and risk skills and applying them across a wide range of sub sectors and borrowers
Identifying and mitigating risk techniques, working within approved credit processes and appetite frameworks, managing exceptions appropriately
Managing, instructing, and negotiating term sheets and facility documentation
Working collaboratively with other areas of San UK to deliver CCB strategy, and maximise cross-sale opportunities
What you’ll bring:
Proven track record of completing Structured Finance Transactions within a UK lower / mid-market Structured Finance business
Demonstrable experience of origination, debt structuring and credit committee presentations
It would also be nice for you to have:
Previousexperience within a Leveraged Finance team operating in the UK lower/mid-market
Technical ability (credit analysis and financial modelling) to structure financial sponsor or leveraged finance transactions
Well-developed stakeholder management skills with the ability to consistently work to tight deadlines and manage numerous complex workstreams
Industry recognised accountancy qualifications

This permanent roleis based in London and our current expectation is at least days in an office every week.
