WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Project Manager you will be directly involved in managing and delivering large scale transformation programs and projects in the Banking and Financial Services industries. You will work alongside clients to optimize the structure of their business functions and transform their contribution to the business. Key to many of our Finance Transformation engagementsis the identification, evaluation, and deployment of the right strategy, processes, structure, and technology to support our clients’ business objectives and enhance the Customer Experience.

YOU WILL:

  • Help to define the business strategy for our clients, identify future business needs, and provide corresponding services.
  • Identify pain points, improvements, opportunities, and solutions to improve the different business functions of our clients.
  • Support in the identification of best-fit digital solutions.
  • Creation and definition of the Transformation Roadmap.
  • Manage projects and cross-functional teams across Finance, Credit Admin, IT, and other relevant business functions.
  • Lead teams in performing current state documentation, gap analysis, requirements gathering, future state design, and implementation across the organisational, process, technology (financial systems), and data dimensions.
  • Advise on key business processes (e.g., Account Opening, Bancassurance, Loans, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Financial Close, Tax, Treasury, etc.).
  • Manage projects by creating, coordinating, and maintaining an integrated project plan, as well as using project management tools.
  • Serve as a liaison between the client, the project team, the development team, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve issues, risks, and project team conflicts.
  • Manage teams and individuals by tracking and directing performance against objectives, ensuring the project team delivers project requirements on time.

YOU WILL HAVE

Skills in:

  • Finance Transformation: Processes, Structure, Reporting, and Digital Solutions.
  • Banking processes, industry KPI development, customer profitability, capital allocation, and more.
  • Operational finance: Close, consolidation, and reporting; order to cash; procure to pay; record to report; finance applications and data structures.
  • Operating model optimisation: Targeted process optimisation, operating framework, and organisation design.
  • Experience in Digital Transformation: Banking Solutions, Robotic Process Automation, AI/Cognitive Automation, Data Analytics, and Data Visualisations.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of professional services experience in a client-facing role at a leading consulting firm, Big Four accounting firm, or commensurate experience or Project Management experience in an international banking organisation supporting the delivery of transformation-related projects. This background is a critical differentiator among interested candidates.
  • Experience leading a project team and the ability to lead key requirement workshops with clients, successfully manage project activities, and oversee the go-live of different projects.
  • Master’s degree (or higher) in accounting, finance, project management, or a similar business or technical discipline.
  • Understanding of digital technologies and their impact on banking functions and their processes, including analytical tools, AI, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate with clients, document requirements, and articulate the value proposition and business case for various finance transformation solutions
  • Solid understanding of banking operations, operating models, supporting organisation structures, and process best practices.
  • Working experience in the Middle East region is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and, ideally, in Arabic.
