Outline of the role

Use state-of-the-art CVD synthesis reactors and analytical equipment to synthesise and characterise diamond materials developing an in-depth understanding. Design and execute experiments, analyse data, and present your findings and conclusions to internal and external stakeholders. Invent and patent new CVD methods, diamond products, and solutions. Develop value add processes, such as by treatments, brazing, metallization, ion implantation, and mounting, to tailor diamond components for integration into customers applications. Collaborate with commercial and academic partners on materials and applications development and testing. Qualifications: Early career scientist or engineer with an undergraduate degree in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or a relevant Engineering subject. An ability to complete practical laboratory work which requires attention to detail, in a safe and systematic way. A demonstrated willingness and ability to quickly learn and apply new skills and techniques. Strong analytical skills for data capture and interpretation. Good interpersonal and presentational skills, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
