Responsibilities:Whileworking as an EHC Plan Writer you will be required to:
Interpret and adhere to theprinciples and statutory processes described in the SEN Code ofPractice.
Ensure that statutorytimescales are strictly adheredto.
Prioritise workloads.
Liaise with parents of childrenwith special education needs SEND Casework Officers health andsocial care professionals Educational Psychologists specialistteachers head teachers and staff from schools and colleges. Youmust keep all parties up to date at alltimes.
Draft well written easy toread and jargon free EHCPlans.
Interpret sensitive andcomplex information from professional assessment relating toindividual children with special educational needs health needs andsocial care needs.
Ensure EHCPlans meet legal requirements and will satisfy externalscrutiny.
Identify any gaps ordiscrepancies in the reports provided by theassessment.
Contribute to thedevelopment of best practice and procedures relating to educationhealth and care planwriting.
Prepare evidence tosupport mediation andtribunals.
