Warehouse Shift Manager

Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Shift Manager for our JD Sports contract, based in Bellshill. This challenging and interesting role will appeal to an individual with experience, drive, determination, and enthusiasm.

Salary up to £35,000 dependant upon experience

How will you contribute?

· Manage the operation within your daily area of responsibility, managing a team of warehouse colleagues

· Responsibly for achieving operational targets, goals and contractual KPI’s for the purpose of ensuring the provision of an effective and efficient quality service to the customer

· Actively lead, motivate and manage the performance of colleagues in line with Company procedures

· Provide and maintain accurate daily information/reporting

· Work collaboratively with all departments to provide a joined up delivery of operational requirements

· Foster positive and constructive relationships on site with all colleagues.

· Champion our culture of trust, respect and togetherness in line with Wincanton’s missions and values

· Investing in and driving our award-winning health and safety standard.

What will you bring?

· Experience of managing a team within a fast paced operation, ideally within a cross dock logistics environment

· Skills and knowledge of warehouse management systems

· A natural leader who is able to coach and motivate a team, helping them to achieve and exceed targets and deliver on department objectives

· Excellent communications skills; both verbal and written

· Should have experience of disciplinary/grievance procedures and knowledge of the legislation governing these procedures.

· Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft software

· Should be flexible in their approach to their working hours
