The role:

Compliance Manager

Responsible for the management oversight and continuous improvement of the integrated Management System (iMS = Safety Management System / Compliance Management System / Security Management System).
To lead and ensure the business and its management system meets the applicable regulatory requirements, monitors compliance and maintains adequate and effective procedures required to ensure a operation compliant with the legal requirements and regulations, safe operational practices and airworthy aeroplanes. The role will oversee compliance of Air Operations. Depending on the candidate skill set this role may also oversee CAMO compliance. 

What you’ll do:

Deliver Compliance Audit Programme, ensuring it remains current, includes all required areas (NPFO, NPCT, NPGO, SMA) and is amended in response to company, technological or regulatory changes, trend analysis, occurrences or investigations. Schedule and perform audits as per the audit programme and nominate and train any auditors to perform such duties including scheduling follow up audits and inspections; Issue improved corrections and corrective actions and verify that the responsible managers take the corrective action and establish preventative measures where necessary. To ensure Compliance findings are handled in accordance with established procedures; Provide effective management of stakeholder relationships and develop an efficient and effective framework for the company; Build and manage the departmental budget to ensure cost effective service provision and cost control; Represent the company within other areas of the BA and IAG business, ensuing that it has appropriate visibility and support from the mainline business; Conduct any such investigations as may be required by the Accountable Manager; Ensure adequate feedback to the Accountable Manager of Compliance monitoring, including identification of any adverse trends; Act as the focal point and interface with the UK CAA for the company and report to the Authority any Regulatory non-compliance issues in accordance with the provision of the company’s current Approvals; Monitor the CAMO activities for compliance with the applicable requirements and any additional requirements as established by the company, and that these activities are carried out properly under the supervision of the nominated persons referred to in points ORO and ;

Your experience:

Possess a job-related qualification (examples: related Degree, HNC, pilot licence, engineer licence Minimum of grade C . in maths and English or equivalent. Proven experience as a qualified Compliance Manager with an aviation company or airline. (Previous Form 4 holder) Experience of an iMS systems in an Air Operations To have been previously acceptable to the CAA as EU OPS/EASA Compliance Manager Significant experience of aviation regulator relationships (CAA) Proven experience of airline activities specifically in the fields of Compliance Experience in the development, delivery and communication of an integrated Management System (iMS), and complex Corporate Risk Assessment
