About the role

Do you have an excellent understanding and extensive experience in SEND? If so, this may be the opportunity for you. We are looking for dedicated and passionate EHC Assessment and Review Officers for a 2 year fixed-term contract. The role is complex, fast paced, varied, and rewarding, working directly with parents, carers and professionals to co-produce Education Health Care plans, undertake work around updating of plans following annual review as well as seeking and supporting school placements. The Team works in line with all the requirements as set out in the SEND Code of Practice and our Officers require a strong knowledge of SEND legislation as well as a good understanding of how young people with SEND can be supported in Education. Due to the range of duties and high expectations for timeliness and communication the EHC Assessment and Review Team has to work very much as a team.

This role will require the successful candidate to be based at 3 Knowsley Place, opposite the Town Hall and to report to a Senior EHC Assessment and Review Officer. Normal hours of work are based around the usual business working week.
