Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead the technical delivery of façade design and consultancy services Collaborate and coordinate with other project participants. Including Architects, owners, consultants and contractors. Produce reports, sketches, drawings and technical deliverables at each project stage. Write technical specifications and respond to site and construction related queries. Conduct buildings surveys and lead the production of due diligence reports for buildings owners. Undertake factory visits, site inspections and witness façade performance testing. Review contractors’ proposals, conduct tender appraisals and lead the technical review of specialist contractor detailed design submissions. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other team members. Participate in internal technical networks and promote and share façade engineering knowledge with colleagues in different geographical locations. Assist with business development activities and prepare fee proposals.

Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates will need to have façade engineering and design consultancy experience in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will meet the following minimum criteria:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering or other relevant design related discipline. A Chartered Engineer or qualified Architect. Or be an associate member of a relevant institution who is working toward qualification. A minimum of eight years of façade design and engineering experience. Excellent communication skills including verbal, report writing and visual techniques. Detailed working knowledge of relevant Building Regulations, BS/EN Standards, CWCT technical guidance and international standards. Thorough understanding of the principles governing the structural behavior and thermal performance of façades and their application in design and construction. Extensive familiarity with different façade systems, products, materials and finishes and their fabrication, assembly, construction and operation. Be eligible and have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
