Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Phonics Mentor (Level 3) post on behalf of a primary school situated in Leyland. The school is graded ‘Good’ overall by Ofsted. Pupils attend school from varied catchment areas, with some gaining from the small class sizes.

Working Hours: 08:45 – 15:45, Monday to Friday (term-time only).

The successful candidate will be required to plan for, teach and assess small groups of pupils in line with the school’s phonics scheme, with the aim of raising attainment in this subject area as well as supporting with reading and writing requirements in other areas of the curriculum.

Training will be provided on the phonics scheme to be utilised; however, excellent knowledge of teaching and learning in phonics is required.

To be considered, you must have a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in subject relevant to working within education, for example education-based degrees are accepted. English graduates are also welcome to apply.
