About us
Meanwood Group Practice is an ever-expanding practice situated in North Leeds. We provide care for approximately 16,000 patients covering a variety of demographics. We are also an active member of the Central North Leeds Primary Care Network (PCN).
We are a friendly, dynamic and supportive team of 12 Partners, 3 Salaried GP's,1 ACP, 6 practice nurses, 1 HCA and 1 Phlebotomist all supported by our experienced reception and administrative teams. The practice provides specialist services for ENT, Minor Surgery, Gynaecology and Menopause. We are also a well established GP training practice.

Job responsibilities
Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by senior nursing staff and GPs
Such tasks may include:
Basic wound care / ulcer care Removal of sutures New patient medicals NHS Health Checks Urinalysis ECGs Peak flow readings Dietary and lifestyle advice Venepuncture Blood pressure measurements Cervical smears Routine immunisations Injections Travel advice Chronic disease management reviews where appropriate Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by another clinician Assisting GPs with minor surgery and LARC Requesting basic pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs Urinalysis Following agreed clinical protocols with referral to senior nurses or GPs as appropriate Person Specification
