SEN Teaching Assistant

Protocol Education are recruiting for a school in SN5 who are looking for support three days a week for a child with additional needs. 

We are looking for passionate individuals who are wanting to build a career in working with children. For this role, you do not need any qualifications or experience but the drive and passion to make a difference to the lives of children. You will mostly be working alongside the class teacher to provide support to the child on a 1:1 basis, also supporting the whole class setting on occasions. 

The role of a teaching assistant can be a challenging one so patience, a friendly approach and a good sense of humour are required.

 

Start-Date: Monday 6th January 2024

Closing Date: Friday 6th December 2024

 

Location: Swindon, SN5

Hours: 08:30 - 15:30 (Part-Time & Full-Time roles available)

 

The Role;
• To work alongside the class teacher in supporting children with their learning
• To manage the behaviour of pupils whilst they undertake their work and ensuring a constructive and positive environment is always enforced
• De-escalating situations within the classroom in the correct way ensuring that safeguarding procedures are always adhered to
• Carrying out small group work and working with children with additional needs
• Reporting any safeguarding concerns using the school’s referral procedures and safeguarding policies.
