Reliability Engineering Specialist, Packet Core

What you’ll be doing
• Own and manage the build, operation, and maintenance of packet core platforms in innovation labs, contributing to delivery plans and platform integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design, Operations, Development, and QA, while leading technical discussions and investigations across mobile core networks.
• Oversee incident, change, problem, risk, and vulnerability management, using network tools (CNOM, Wireshark, NetScout, ENIQ) to trace and resolve issues.
• Ensure alignment of test environments with the live EE network, driving continuous improvement and promoting automation solutions for the mobile core.
• Work with other business units and third parties to enhance service performance, quality, and customer experience, leading configuration changes via CICD pipelines with thorough sanity checks.

What we would like to see on your CV
• Expert level knowledge of Packet Core Networks / Cloud Networks
• Hands on Experience on Ericsson Mobile Cloud Core Networks - MME, PCC, PCG, EPG & DNS systems.
• Demonstrate 5G / LTE architecture, call flows and knowledge of protocols such as BGP, PFCP, GTPv2, Diameter, SIP.
• Good understanding of Kubernetes administration activities & troubleshooting.
• Experience in coding languages (Python, Perl) & Automation CI / CD Pipeline and implementing reliability engineering, and automation for patching, deployment and maintenance activities.
