We’re in the early stages of a major product update on Old School RuneScape and looking for an SDET to take part in setting the foundation of test automation to enable Old School RuneScape to run for the next 20 years, In line with our mission of creating forever games, you will support the game teams in ensuring high quality and availability for our players.

What you'll be doing:

    • Design, build, and evolve test automation frameworks, integration test frameworks, and internal tools for Jagex games.  
    • Architect and write code to improve the quality of the automation toolchain.  
    • Standardize reporting of key performance metrics to assess impact/value.  
    • Work with other disciplines to understand customer requirements and update the team roadmap to reflect priorities.  
    • Mentor QA Engineers and other developers to effectively use the frameworks in writing test cases for games.  
    • Collaborate with the game teams on the adoption and support of automation frameworks as part of their development/release pipeline.  
    • Participate in design/code reviews, measure code coverage, assess overall system quality, and ensure the efficiency of automated test frameworks.  

What we're looking for:

    • Demonstrable experience with performance and load testing, integration and API testing 
    • Working knowledge of AWS
    • Experience with monitoring, metrics and using data for insights  
    • Programming skills in Python with willingness to learn other languages  
    • Focus on automation and integrating testing in CI/CD  
    • Ability to work across multiple product engineering teams 
    • Deep understanding of selenium or cucumber for web user testing 
    • Gatling, JMeter, Locust
