Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our US Global Brands Editorial Team

You will film & edit video, audio, and other multimedia content for use across the US portfolio of websites, including NutraIngredients-USA, FoodNavigator-USA, and CosmeticsDesign-USA.

You will also accompany editorial teams to trade shows to film video interviews with key industry stakeholders, support the editorial teams for producing podcast episodes, with technical support and editing, and support the team with webinars – recording of video content & producing the finished webinar. You will also find yourself working closely with the US team supporting with Social Media posts and working with the site editors to produce insightful content that drives interest and traffic to our sites.

Location : Chicago (2 days per week) / Hybrid

Role : Full-time, permanent

What you’ll be doing

This is a role that works across the US global brands portfolio, and as such recordings and other key elements of the role will involve traveling with the relevant teams to US domestic events, and may involve working outside of usual US working hours – flexibility and the acceptance of working some shifted hours is key

Creating video content on-location at our events and conferences in the nutrition, dietary supplements, food, and cosmetics sectors Creating video content on-location at third-party trade shows and conferences in the same sectors, liaising with the site editors in advance to ensure maximum output, consistent standards and production values. Responsible for video recording and editing of online conference sessions, videos, interviews and many other types of engaging video content using StreamYard, Zoom recordings, YouTube/YouTube Premiere and/or any other screen capture software All video editing must adhere to strict professional standard (cuts, transitions, animations, intro stings, speaker cards, panel cards) Supporting local teams with audio podcast recordings: Recording, editing, and final production of audiocasts with consistent standards and production values. Social Media support to the editorial teams: Developing and scheduling engaging social media posts, particularly around our own events, pre-, during, and post-event.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Excellent AV skills, filming, editing and producing using a variety of software products, such as StreamYard, Audacity, Adobe Premiere, Camtasia, Adobe After Effects, or Final Cut Pro or similar Proficient in conducting online and in-person recordings (must know best practices regarding framing, lighting, mics, noise cancellation etc.) Attentive to detail, methodical and highly organized Autonomous, flexible, and agile by taking initiatives and submitting alternative solutions Excellent communication both verbal and written Flexible approach to working hours and objectives Ability to work under strict deadlines with quick turnarounds Desirable: basic Adobe Photoshop skills, a good eye for design and attention to detail
