Reports To::Operations Manager

JobPurpose: To oversee and manage the cleaning staffensuring that all cleaning operations are performed efficiently andto the highest standards. This role is temporary and will supportthe organization during a peak period or a specificproject.

KeyResponsibilities:

  1. SupervisionandCoordination:

    • Supervisedaily activities of cleaning staff to ensure cleanliness standardsare met.
    • Allocate cleaning tasks andensure completion in a timelymanner.
    • Conduct regular inspectionsof all areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness andhygiene.

  1. TrainingandDevelopment:

    • Trainnew cleaning staff on proper cleaning techniques use of equipmentand safety protocols.
    • Provideongoing training and support to existingstaff.

  2. InventoryManagement:

    • Monitorand maintain inventory of cleaning supplies andequipment.
    • Place orders for newsupplies as needed to ensureavailability.

  3. QualityControl:

    • Investigateand resolve complaints regarding cleaningservices.
    • Ensure all cleaningoperations comply with health and safetyregulations.
    • Implement qualitycontrol measures to maintain high standards ofservice.

  4. AdministrativeDuties:

    • Maintainrecords of cleaning schedules staff attendance andperformance.
    • Prepare reports oncleaning activities and staff performance for managementreview.

  5. HealthandSafety:

    • Ensureall staff adhere to company policies regarding health andsafety.
    • Conduct regular safetybriefings and enforce the use of personal protective equipment(PPE).

  6. Communication:

    • Liaisewith other departments to coordinate cleaning activities andrespond to their specificneeds.
    • Communicate effectively withstaff and management regarding cleaningoperations.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Education:High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training orcertification in cleaning or facilities management is aplus.

  • Experience:Previous experience in a supervisory role within the cleaningindustry.

  • Skills:

    • Strongleadership and organizationalskills.
    • Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills.
    • Ability tomanage and motivate ateam.
    • Proficiency in using cleaningequipment and understanding of cleaningchemicals.
    • Basic computer skills forrecordkeeping andreporting.

  • PersonalAttributes:

    • Attentionto detail and a commitment to highstandards.
    • Flexibility to workvarious shifts including weekends andholidays.
    • Problemsolving skills andability to handle complaints andemergencies.

WorkingConditions:

  • Therole may require standing for long periods and performing physicaltasks.
  • Must be able to work invarious environments including office buildings hospitals schoolsand otherfacilities.
