Job Purpose:

The candidate will be required to electrically diagnose, rectify, and maintain Aston Martin prototype vehicles / bucks to facilitate both whole vehicle & component testing, including support of off-site testing.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Follow H&S guidelines.Manufacture/sub-assembly of relevant componentsStrip and inspect parts.Diagnosis and resolution of electrical issues with prototype vehiclesWill be able to work to circuit diagrams / electrical schematicsHV component assembly and operation (training provided)Fault find and diagnose errors with hardware and softwareComponent, software and coding updates to the required level, ensuring all vehicle updates are appropriately documentedLiaise with appropriate engineers and integration team to help resolve software and coding errorsDesign and make one-off harnesses/overlaysRework electrical harnesses to required engineering changesLiaise with system and development engineers regarding identified issuesProblem solving to aid in solution of current vehicle issuesHousekeeping dutiesQualification & Experience:Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a similar automotive electrical basis role.Ability to perform detailed inspectionFailure investigations and problem solvingWorking across functional teams effectivelyPositive, proactive attitude is essentialUse of various types of electrical diagnostic equipment – EVO Diag, Canalyser etc.
