DSEAR Chargehand

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Chargehand for our DSEAR team on a permanent basis to work in our E&M team.
The purpose of the Chargehand role is to supervise the field teams carrying out activities to ensure compliance with DSEAR, and all other relevant standards and practices. The Chargehand will provide technical support to the field and office staff, conduct safety briefings, provide quality assurance on inspections and remedial works being carried out on site to meet WGM and client expectations.
Main Duties
- Coaching and mentoring DSEAR Electricians to facilitate the completion of allocated work on time, and to a high standard to meet and exceed client expectation.
- Working closely with the planning team to ensure effective planning, eliminating delays, and achieving high levels of productivity on site.
- Providing regular feedback on the quality of work to the DSEAR Electricians and report areas of improvement and training requirements to the project manager.
- Delivering the inspection and remediation program for DSEAR compliance in line with all relevant standards and processes.
- Ensure that Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality processes are adhered to on site; promoting a culture of safe working practices.
- Building relationships between the DSEAR Electricians, the field teams and the office staff, communicating effectively between all parties.
- Attend meetings to scope and design remedial works to achieve compliance with DSEAR.
- Conducting site surveys to provide a comprehensive scope and bill of materials and consumables required to remediate sites to comply with DSEAR.
- Identify risks and opportunities in the program.
- Reporting daily/weekly to the project manager on key aspects of delivery from the field teams.
- Any other reasonable duties as required.
To be considered for this position you will have at least 2-3 years previous experience within a similar Level role, Experience in safety management controls for construction works in general site conditions are essential for the role as well as a full UK driving license as travel to various sites across the country is essential for the position.
