Finance Manager
Edinburgh
An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join the team at Galliford Try.
The Finance Manager will support the Finance Directors for Business Units and form a key part of the overall finance team for the Building North & Scotland division. This role is carried out in a Hybrid fashion between home and office from our office base in Edinburgh.
What you will be doing:
Month end accounting
Oversee & assist in the roll forward, population of data and finalisation of monthly contract CVRs (cost value reports) Preparation of inputs for the month end reporting pack Oversee monthly review of overheads vs budget Review of project to general ledger reconciliation in Oracle Ensure alignment of reporting in Hyperion and OracleFinancial ledgers
Preparation/oversee production of balance sheet reconciliations and schedules, Maintenance of intercompany accounts, posting of entries & agreement of balances with other group companiesInformation provision
Preparation of schedules to support the half year and full year financial statements, including liaising with internal and external auditors as required. Preparation of Overhead budgets Response to ad hoc queriesAbout You:
Detailed understanding of finance and accounting principles in relation to the Construction Industry. Thorough working knowledge of Finance Function through job experience or training. Experience of providing supporting to a professional function. Hold a professional finance qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or ACMA Previous experience of Oracle would be beneficial. Fully conversant with the Microsoft suite of packages. What We Can Offer in Return:
