We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic scanningnurse or midwife to work in our clinics in Surbiton and other SW London locations.

We are looking for scanning nurses who can deliver safe and effectivecare of patients wanting to access; consultation for unplanned pregnancy,surgical and medical abortions, contraception and sexual health services forwomen. You must have ultra sound scanning experience(t/a and t/v) in first and second stagetrimester.

You will need to be able to fulfil an integral role withinour multidisciplinary team delivering a confidential abortion service. You willneed to be motivated, enthusiastic, caring and empathetic. Pro-choice is amust.

Main duties of the job

To deliver safe and effective care of patients from admissionto discharge in accordance with Healthcare Commission Standards, NMC Guidelinesfor Professional Practice and company policies and procedures. You must have ultra sound scanning experience(t/a and t/v) in first and second stage trimester.

Experience

Essential

Current Nurse and or Midwifery Council NMC registration as a Registered Nurse Sub part 1 of the NMC register Registered Midwife. Up to date knowledge and experience of working in a sexual health TOP or Gynaecological service. Ultra sound scanning experience in first and second stage trimester.

Desirable

Faculty of Reproductive Sexual Healthcare FSRH Letter of Competence in intrauterine techniques ie IUS and or IDU fitter and Insertion and removal of Subdermal Implants. SDI Recognised qualification in Independent/Supplementary Prescribing.

Qualifications
