Kitchen Assistant

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team to prepare and present meals to a high standard with the objective of achieving high restaurant sales. It's important the right candidate carries out kitchen duties in a clean manner and contributes to a safe environment for customers and staff.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 14.00-22.00
Salary: £22,308.00
Key Duties of a Kitchen Assistant:
- Maximising sales by preparing food to a high standard with great presentation
- Ensuring there is adequate stock of all foods whilst advising management of any shortages
- Be aware of site promotions with regard to menu offers
- Ensuring goo is prepared and presented at minimum satisfactorily level to every customer
- full understanding and complete compliance with all Food Safety Regulations and health & Safety Rules
- Ensure all kitchen & restaurant activities are carried out in a clean and safe manner, in accordance with Company policies & procedures
- Wearing protective clothing & equipment
- ensure all food has been correctly proportioned to reduce waste & control expenditure at the site
- Adhere to site standard at all times
- be able to identify potential equipment breakdowns and notify management accordingly.
Qualifications
- Basic Health and Safety qualifications and minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate.
- You should have strong customer service skills and be comfortable in a customer facing environment whilst working well under pressure.
- A knowledgeable background of working in catering operations would be advantageous.
