Your responsibilities
Engage as a leader of the shift team in supporting the Production Manager and the wider site management team in developing and delivering strategic plans to deliver business performance targets (covering technical, commercial, process and people aspects). Manage and be prepared to carry out all aspects of multi plant and system operation e.g. preparation, run-up and synchronisation, control and regulation, desynchronising and shut down. Monitor and report divergences and take action within defined limits to correct defects, fault conditions and/or abnormalities whilst maintaining optimum operational compliance, safety and performance. Maximise commercial benefit, meet personal generic operator KPI’s Improve business performance by leading team and focus groups in improvement initiatives and projects. Ensure best practice is employed by networking and benchmark comparisons with other plant, to achieve optimum levels of revenue expenditure, availability, flexibility, reliability etc. Liaise with external stakeholder groups e.g. NGT, EA, and HSE, emergency services, general public and the local community.Your profile
Extensive technical knowledge and experience of power plant engineering, maintenance and operations. Qualified to Higher National Certificate / Degree level in engineering or equivalent. A thorough understanding of power plant operation, practice and theory. Detailed knowledge of current Uniper and local management systems which affect the management of the site, which are relevant to the role. Detailed working knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation and standards relevant to the role.Your qualities
