Salary: MPS: £83 - £110 per day

Contract Type: Full-Time

GSL Education are currently looking to recruit an experienced Physical Education Graduate to work at an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ Secondary School located in Selby, North Yorkshire, starting as soon as possible.

Requirements:

• A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
• Experience teaching or coaching students in a school or community setting.
• An understanding of how to make PE inclusive and engaging for students of varying abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for physical education and a commitment to promoting the benefits of an active lifestyle.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting a safe learning environment.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a new one through GSL Education.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Deliver inclusive PE lessons tailored to a range of abilities, including students with additional needs.
• Promote health and fitness across the school through creative and inspiring PE activities.
• Foster an environment that encourages participation, sportsmanship, and teamwork among all students.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCO, and pastoral teams to ensure lessons are inclusive and accessible to all students.
• Monitor and report on student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment by following health and safety regulations.
