Mechanical Installation Supervisor – Dorset 

Trant Engineering Limited is a multi discipline Engineering & Construction company, with offices and projects throughout the UK and Overseas. We have a number of different divisions including Energy, Oil & Gas, Water & Process, International and Control & Automation. 

We have several new water projects starting across the Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset region. To support this we are looking for to appoint a mechanical supervisor to be based initially on a waste water upgrade project near Bournemouth. 

Duties include but are not limited to;

· Report to & support the Site Manager supervising mechanical installation works

· Work alongside other trades in the utilities Industry

· Day to day planning, organising, supervision and control of mechanical installation: pipework, pumps steelwork, etc.

· Scoping new works, surveys.

· Supervision of direct workforce and overseeing of subcontractor works

· Ensuring company safety policies are adhered to at all times

· Communicating plans, programmes and safe systems of work with project stakeholders and ensuring their understanding and compliance 

Candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to health & safety ensuring that tasks are planned and executed safely and efficiently.

Required Skills/Qualifications

· Installation background within the water, power or other heavier industrial sectors

· SSSTS / SMSTS

· JIB Mechanical Pipefitter or equivalent qualfication

· CSCS Card

· Full UK Driving License

· Computer Literate 

Beneficial Skills/Qualifications

· C&G Medium Risk Confined Space

· Mobile Tower Erection (e.g. PASMA)

· Mobile Elevated Working Platforms (e.g. IPAF)

· First Aid at Work
