WHAT TO EXPECT

As a Vehicle Dynamics Rig Technician, you will be responsible for the completion of test preparation and supporting the testing across the Vehicle Dynamics Rigs. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy work environment in respect to health and safety.

You’ll be part of a diagnostics/testing development team which is essential to the profession and craft that delivers class leading levels of refinement of our JLR products synonymous with their premium luxury.

This is a Mondy to Friday, 37 hours per week shift working role (alternating between 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm). Occasional overtime requested at weekends (one a month on average).

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

To conduct vehicle fitting as required to prepare vehicles for testing. Load, Unload, Secure and align vehicles onto the Dynamic Rolling Road (DRR) and Kinematics and Compliance (K&C) Rigs Install Steering and Braking actuator robots into vehicles. Installation of Vehicle Dynamics Rig instrumentation and sensors Operate computer-controlled Vehicle Dynamics Rigs for set up tasks. Maintenance / Fault finding / diagnostics of rig operational issues. A good understanding and awareness of the impact of health & safety in the work environment

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

You'll have a vehicle servicing background for a tier 1 OEM or tier 1 component supplier A healthy and positive regard towards safety in the workplace A background in Rig testing is not essential but would be very helpful You'll be NVQ qualified and proficient in vehicle fitting with good knowledge in a laboratory or rig test environment
