We are working with athriving secondary school in Dorking that is eager to appoint askilled and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher tojoin their dedicated staff. This fulltime permanent positioncommences in January and offers the chance to inspire creativityand technical skills in youngminds.

PositionSummary

The successful candidatewill play a key role in delivering a comprehensive and engagingDesign & Technology curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4.You will have the opportunity to foster a passion for designinnovation and practical skills in students equipping them withessential knowledge and capabilities for thefuture.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Planand deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons that alignwith the national curriculum and the schools educationalaims.
  • Create a dynamic and interactive learningenvironment that encourages student participation andcollaboration.
  • Assess student progress provideconstructive feedback and implement differentiated learningstrategies to cater to diverse needs andabilities.
  • Maintain a wellorganized and safelearning environment ensuring proper use of tools andequipment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues withinthe department and across the school to enhance the Design& Technology curriculum and contribute to extracurricularactivities.

Qualifications&Experience:

  • Bachelorsdegree or higher in Design & Technology Engineering or arelated field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Provenexperience teaching Design & Technology at the secondarylevel ideally across Key Stages 3 and4.

  • Passionateabout Design & Technology and its realworld applicationswith a strong commitment to studentsuccess.
  • Possesses excellent communicationinterpersonal and organizationalskills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively andindependently demonstrating initiative and a creative approach toteaching.
