SIA Tutor

The Role

As an SIA Tutor at Realise, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of security professionals. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training courses that align with the Security Industry Authority (SIA) standards. Your expertise and guidance will equip our learners with the knowledge and skills required to excel in the security industry.

Whilst we can’t promise that every day will be the same, your key responsibilities are likely to be:

- Plan and deliver SIA-approved training courses to learners.

- Provide individualised support and guidance to learners, helping them achieve their learning objectives.

- Conduct assessments and evaluations to measure learner progress.

- Keep up to date with changes in SIA regulations and industry best practices.

- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

- Maintain accurate records of learner attendance, performance, and assessment results.

- Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve training programmes.

- Ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.

About You

- Hold a valid SIA Licence (can be recently expired) and evidence of CPD

- Teaching and/or assessing qualifications

- First Aid, Conflict Management and Physical Intervention - all Level 3 qualifications

- Door Supervisor experience and a strong knowledge of SIA regulations and security industry standards

- Patient, approachable, and adaptable teaching style

- A commitment to upholding high standards of professionalism and ethics

- Have a minimum of GCSE Grade 4/C for Maths and English or equivalent

- Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding practices and legislation

- Our interview process is tailored to each role and can be in-person or held remotely.

- You can expect a one-stage interview process for this position, which will compromise of: a one-hour formal interview, likely on Teams, where we will ask you to prepare and deliver a short microteach, shortly followed by competency and behavioural questions.
