Teaching Assistant
Location: Hook
Salary: £83.33 - £95 per day
Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:

  • Support the classroom teacher with daily lessons and activities.
  • Assist students with their learning, both in groups and one-on-one.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Prepare learning materials and resources.
  • Provide extra support for students with additional needs.
  • Supervise students during break times and school trips.

 To be a successful Teaching Assistant, you should:

  • Experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting.
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards learning and teaching.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work well in a team.
  • A relevant qualification in education or childcare is desirable but not essential.
  • Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students to achieve their best, helping to create a fun and nurturing learning environment. Whether you're experienced or just starting your journey as a Teaching Assistant, this role offers you the chance to grow and develop your skills while making a real impact.
