Purposeof role

  • Support theProduction Team Leader Supervisor Planner and Manager (ProductionTeam) to complete any jobs in Assembly of Cathelco corrosionprotection products.
  • Cut down Bar stock bymeans of operating band saw.
  • Operate multiplemanual Lathes methods required are drill Tap and face upstock.
  • Complete all tasks of anode manufactureto current job card and drawing requirements prior to exworks datesign off job.
  • Assist Production Team tomaintain stocks at viable levels.
  • Report to theProduction team any defects with equipment and storage rackingwithin the area.
  • Report near misses ondepartment daily team board.
  • Assist with sawrequirements upon request.
  • Operate forklifttruck in all areas is desirable.
  • When requiredreporting any concerns to the ProductionManager.

Keyresponsibilities

  • Maintasks but not limited to are cutting/turning bar stock rollingsheet metal to deliver to the assembly department of corrosionproducts in the machine shop. On occasion you may be asked tocomplete tasks outside your area but within yourcapability.
  • Ensure that all Job cards aredelivered by the set deadlines.
  • Ensure jobs arebooked on and off to allow WIP Reporting within the ProductionTeam.
  • Ensure that the day to day tasks arecarried out in accordance with the workshop policy and proceduresISO9001 and Cathelco Group companyhandbook.
  • Provide support for all of Productionif required.
  • Help QA and QC activities andinitiatives within manufacture and production as well as helpingcarry out the annual stock take.
  • Work withProduction team to ensure the correct level of materials areavailable when required at all times.
  • Ensureeach team board is updated daily with any issues addressing thedepartmental KPIs positively each day.
  • Ensureyou operate safely and respecting company H&S policies atall times.
  • Address departmental daily 5Srequirements.
  • Ensure the department is keptclean and tidy and end of shift checks are completeddaily.
  • Continually improve the department andensure any pertinent improvement actions areimplemented.
  • Actively find ways to improveQuality Cost and Delivery(QCD).
  • Provide anyrelevant information to warehouse / despatchteams.

  • Also work with the ProductionSupervisor/Team Leader and SeniorEngineer.
  • Have a good working relationship withall companyemployees.

Qualificationssought but notmandatory
