The Headteacher and Governors would like to appoint a temporary Year 2 class teacher to join our happy, friendly school. Our school mission statement is ‘Work hard, dream big and never give up’. We hold very high expectations of our children and staff and believe that everyone can achieve.

The year 2 class the successful candidate will teach are a high achieving class with no significant SEND currently. There will also be a permanent teaching assistant in post.

We are a successful and nurturing school and are lucky to have a very friendly, supportive staff, children whose behaviour is exemplary and a governing body who work hard with the children to promote our school’s Christian values: Love, Respect, Friendship, Resilience, Forgiveness and Trust.


This is a temporary role for 6 months pending the return of the class teacher after Easter.

ECTs 1 or 2 are welcome to apply and will receive a full ECT training programme.

JOB PURPOSE

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an exemplary practitioner, ensuring that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet the varying learning and social needs of children in their class. Evidence of excellent teaching outcomes and practice is essential.
