At TfW Fibre LTD we aim to offer Groundbreaking full fibre connectivity solutions in areas along the Core Valleys Lines, providing large capacity bandwidth solutions that will improve access to hard-to-reach areas.

Through partnerships with ISPs and mobile operators, we can help our customers receive the broadband and mobile services enjoyed by so much of the rest of the country.

Our innovative fibre optic network will provide next generation connectivity right to the heart of the Core Valley Lines (CVL) communities we serve, bringing investment and opportunities to local economies.

Role responsibilities

To be an independent Non-Executive Director on the TfW Fibre Ltd Board of directors, providing the board with responsibility for advising senior management on the strategic direction and management of the company, with a particular commercial expertise in the telecoms industry.

• Provide strategic oversight by giving insight and advice to the board on the commercial strategy, market positioning, and business development opportunities in the telecommunications industry to enable the business to meet its ambition and maximise

the value and effectiveness of fibre optic assets.

• Provide commercial oversight by assisting the development and implementation of the company's strategic objectives and commercial plans, with a focus on maximizing revenue growth and market expansion to drive commercial expansion.

• Identify market trends, opportunities, and threats in the telecom sector, by leveraging a familiarity with market dynamics, competitor benchmarking, and customer segmentation to ensure the organisation is competitive.

• Refine commercial strategies by reviewing pricing models and go-to-market plans to capitalize on market dynamics and customer needs.

Who we’re looking for

• Extensive experience in commercial leadership roles within the telecommunications industry, with an extensive track record of driving revenue growth and market expansion.

• Proven expertise in market analysis, business development, and strategic planning in a competitive market environment.

• Demonstrable communication skills, including an ability to offer challenge in a

• constructive, straightforward and open manner, as well as acting as an external ambassador for TfW Fibre.

• Previous experience as a company director or senior executive.

• Deep understanding of telecom market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Welsh Language Skills

The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
