We have jobs varying from 24 hours per week to a week. Please note those on a student visa wouldn't be able to meet this requirement and will not be interviewed.
County Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust are seeking motivated, dynamic Healthcare Assistants to join our team, who will complement our current experienced and specialist workforce, who are passionate about providing optimal care for our patients. If you are an experienced Healthcare Assistant you can also apply.
Please note there will be a Recruitment Day Saturday 19th October 2024 at Prospect House, Durham and you will need to be available to complete recruitment checks if appointed. The Recruitment day will include information on the role of a HCA, information on the Trust, Panel Interview and Recruitment checks. We will not be able to offer another interview day.
If you are new to care you must complete the Care certificate with us in your first 6 months and you will be paid band 2 until complete.
Please note this vacancy will close when we reach maximum capacity for the venue and you must apply and be offered an invite, we will not accept anyone for interview on the day who has not been invited.
Main duties of the job
Please ensure you have full ID documents available to bring with you. Full ID information can be found on the document in supporting information and you must prepare for the day by sourcing references to cover the last 3 years (email address of employers). You must also provide GCSE certificates in English language and Maths or equivalent to match the person spec and will need to provide these on the day. If you are unable to provide these on the day you will not be interviewed.
This role is 24/7 rota so we will not be able to offer specific plans (nights or days only).

Tobe eligible for Health and Care Worker visa sponsorship you will usually needto be paid at least £25,600 per year
We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
