We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at a HMP Grendon, a category D Adult Male prison.

As a Carpenter, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, and others, who are all dedicated to making a positive difference, providing a safe and secure environment for all.

We are a five-year-old Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and are looking for a Carpenter with any combination of: 

A formal qualification such as NVQ or City and Guilds of least at level 2, or considerable work-based experience with knowledge of current best practices and material, tool, and equipment safety standards Knowledge of routine preventative maintenance and an ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities when reactive maintenance is required An enjoyment for team and collaborative working An honest, reliable, and robust character Good Health & Safety knowledge.  Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
