IT Technician

Country: United Kingdom State: West Yorkshire City: Cross Hills Job Family: IT and Information Systems Job Type: Permanent position Work Location: On-site Compensation: Provide technical IT support for the business, its employees and IT/IS/OT Systems and Infrastructure. Deliver support and IT/IS/OT Projects in-line with business requirements and deadlines. Support colleagues working at both our Cross Hills and Cranfield sites. Support colleagues working remotely: nationally, internationally and colleagues permanently based in Germany. Serve as the first point of contact for IT support within the organisation. Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware components of computer and network systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues. Repair and replace damaged computer and network components. Ensure the security of client and server computers by assessing vulnerabilities and utilising patch management tools, installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software. Support colleagues whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices. Maintain and update technical documentation regularly. Test new hardware and software before full-scale installation. Proactively implement the Company’s policies and procedures. Understand, and work at all times in line with Fives Values and Directives; specifically following the highest standards of health and safety.
