Position Title: Body in White Design Engineer

Duration: Contract

Location: Hybrid - 1 day per week onsite in Warwick

CAD design and engineering of Body exterior panel systems Support cost and weight targets throughout the design process. Schedule design activities to meet engineering deliverables Support styling engagement to ensure delivery of feasible design solutions with regard to manufacturing, assembly and homologation Coordinate with Principal Engineers and Project Managers to ensure technical targets, program timings and budgetary requirements are met Liaise with the Prototype Workshop to provide feasible design solutions Support workshop activities pre, during and post-vehicle build Ensure designs meet all relevant safety and regulatory requirements, and are formally verified to meet these and other specifications Identify and highlight any areas for continuous improvement

Essential Criteria:

5+ years of automotive Catia V5 design experience Experience in designing BIW aluminium stamping/pressing OR Aluminium High pressure die casting components Experience using Aluminium joining, SPR, Rivets, adhesive, welding. Body structures experience, upper body OR underbody Design and Release of Body systems Fluency in English.

Nice to Have Criteria:

Body manufacturing experience desirable Good understanding of GD&T Robust, proven feasibility assessment skills within APQP framework including DFMEA, DFA/DFM, DVP, component planning and PPAP Experience in lightweight body design and materials technology. CAD knowledge for assembly and part interrogation. BIW experience with electric vehicles e.g. Battery tray
